Chasing Trails have offered gift vouchers for mountain bikers for over 10 years. They’ve always been popular as they’re an ideal gift for mountain biking friends & family. Suitable for someone just getting into the sport or who’s more experienced & wants to refine their skills. Gift vouchers are available below for MTB skills coaching, bike maintenance courses, wheel building tuition & guided riding.
Buying a MTB gift voucher:
You can purchase a gift voucher below and let the recipient book the date when they’re ready; this is by far the most popular choice.
However, if you know the date you require either book it on the relevant page and email at the same time to ask for a voucher or phone or email to arrange the whole thing. You can also pay by online bank transfer this way if that’s your preferred option.
*gift vouchers ordered up to 9pm on Thurs 19th Dec can be emailed or posted and from then up to the 23rd they’ll be sent by email.

- if you have gifted a voucher for a weekday but the recipient needs a Saturday or Sunday vouchers can be topped-up subject to availability

Riders who’ve been taught by an experienced coach usually consider it the best money spent on their riding.
Upgraded bikes & bits are great but an upgraded rider is a bigger improvement!
Mountain bike skills coaching is for riders of any ability – a 1:1 or 1:2 day gives you the most out of the day and focuses the instruction on what you need. It can be instructor led, structured around your list of targets or a bit of both.
Skills covered can be from beginners to advanced including everything from effective & safe braking to drops & jumps to fine tuning if you’re almost there but need a but more flow.

It’s difficult to describe the satisfaction of building your own wheels, especially for someone who loves to know how things work.
Although wheel building is often seen as an ‘expert only’ job, most people with a little bit of mechanical ability can learn.
The voucher covers the cost of the course. New components can be supplied for extra cost or practice parts can be used. Participants can also bring their own.

1:1 or 1:2 gives you a day that matches your fitness & skill level more closely, but if you want vouchers for more than 2 people on the same day please get in touch as we can help with that too.
Prices below are for days on the North York Moors, but if you need guiding for another part of the country an email or phone call is the easiest way to arrange it as there may be some travel costs.
The North York Moors are undiscovered by many but there are great trails for all abilities. If you want a family day let us know & we’ll do a family price.
Guided prices are based on everyone having a bike but bike hire can be arranged if needed at extra cost.

Some of the options relate to specific course costs. All of them can be used towards any service offered and many cover the full cost of a coaching or training day or half day. If you think someone you know needs a bike service, the lowest value might well cover it if it just needs a tune-up. Another will be given any balance not used.
