7stanes MTB skills weekends
Spend a couple of days learning to master high the high end red trails of Kirroughtree & Dalbeattie, with some black thrown in if you’re up for it. 7stanes intermediate skills breaks include 2 nights accommodation & 2 days tuition in a great value package
In our opinion two excellent UK trail centres – Kirroughtree gets the recognition it deserves as possibly the best around & Dalbeattie is quite underated but has a great red trail for learning on & some mighty black features. The ‘Slab’ & the ‘Terrible Twins’ probably rings some bells…
In 2004 Scotland was voted best in the world for mountain biking. The 7stanes trails were a big factor & improvements still seem to be made every year. Kirroughtree has a bike shop on site where you can hire a bike if you fancy combining a course with trying out a new bike. They had an Orange Five for hire last we heard
Accommodation & food
Breakfast & packed lunches are included
Although these courses are great value, accommodation is warm & comfortable – you just need to bring a sleeping bag & pillow. A fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave are provided. Outside is a picnic/BBQ/camp fire area & the site has secure cycle storage
